LA MESA, Calif. — Eight people were taken to a hospital after a vehicle crash in La Mesa early Sunday, authorities said.
The crash happened around 3 a.m. on Explorer Road.
Two cars collided for unknown reasons and a third car that was possibly involved fled the scene, according to Battalion Chief Jason Floyd with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
Eight people involved in the crash, including two with major injuries, were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital, officials said.
The condition of the patients was unknown.
