A two-alarm fire heavily damaged a home in La Mesa on Thursday and sent a woman to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire broke out at around 10:20 a.m. at 3805 Carbo Court, according to Heartland Fire & Rescue. That location is just north of State Route 94 and east of Lemon Grove Avenue.
