Victim of Deadly SR-94 Crash Identified

A woman was killed when she lost control of her vehicle while driving along State Route 94 in Spring Valley Tuesday. A vehicle rolled over several times in westbound lanes near the Kenwood Drive exit in Spring Valley just after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said.  Woman Killed While Walking In Lanes of I-805 in Kearny Mesa A blue Kia Sportage swerved to avoid a collision with a Honda Civic that was merging into the lane ahead of the Kia. The driver of the Kia lost control and overturned in the center divider, according to the CHP.  Earthquakes Rattle San Clemente Island CHP closed one lane of westbound SR-94 near SR-125 for an investigation into the deadly crash. The driver who died in the crash was identified as 35-years-old Maria Duran of Spring Valley. CHP officers said she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision.  Cinco de Mayo: 5 Things You May Not Know Two passengers in the Kia — a 17-year-old male and a 12-year-old female — suffered minor injuries, CHP officers said. The driver of the Honda Civic was not injured.
