El Cajon artist Tara Slatton-Cardenas is curating “Oceans Below,” at Studio C on Main Street in El Cajon with its opening reception on March 2 from 6-9 p.m. The exhibit will showcase four local artists that will feature paintings, wood-based sculptures, carved wood and bone, and ceramics, all dedicated to the ocean theme.

“Now I am curating shows at Studio C, owned by Carlos Castrejon,” she said. “He is allowing me to do three or four shows. I have art from BEMS Ocean Art, wood-based sculptures from Don Flores, carved necklaces by Vern Daniels, and ceramic whales by Kate Campbell. The works will be on display at Studio C through March 9, and then will move to the Friends of East County Arts until the end of the month.”
