SDPD Sgt., Woman Hurt in 3-Car Crash At Intersection

A San Diego police sergeant was transported to the hospital with injuries after a crash in San Carlos Thursday. The crash involving three vehicles, one an SDPD patrol vehicle, happened at the intersection of Jackson and Golfcrest drives, near Mission Trails Golf Course, just before 9:45 a.m., the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) said.  ‘This Ain’t Nothing’: Shacknai Reacts to Civil Verdict Witnesses at the scene told NBC 7 the patrol car was headed eastbound at Golfcrest Drive with lights and sirens turned on when a woman in a white sedan traveling north on Jackson Drive struck the officer as he passed through the intersection. The white sedan continued forward and struck a truck stopped at a red light in the intersection, witnesses said.  Sheriff Gore ‘Surprised’ by Verdict in Spreckels Mansion Civil Case Witnesses at the scene said the woman had a green light but did not yield to the officer’s lights and sirens.Medics transported the police sergeant to the hospital in unknown condition, San Diego Fire-Rescue (SDFD) said. Green Elementary School, located about a mile west of the crash site, were placed on lockdown as officers searched for someone in the area. Police officers were looking for a suspect who may have been concealing a gun under his shirt.
