Our Home-Bound Seniors Receive Lots of Love and Gifts on December 15th

Photos By Sandra Small Photographer.

This year our ability to put smiles on the faces of our 24 home-bound seniors was an amazing opportunity to share the joy of the season. Due to the support of our members and the community, we are proud to announce that 2,691 canned goods, socks, booties, cereal, soaps, toiletries, vegetables and other items were distributed to them. In addition to these items, cash and gift cards were included in their baskets and this year each of our 24 home-bound seniors received (1) basket with items and the cash and gift cards, as well as (3) bags of the food items.

All of these items were transported to the La Mesa Police Department by our special helpers Pablo Tapia and Jesse Reynoso, employees of Carl Burger Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM World who brought the vans and their strength to help unload all of these items! We want to thank everyone who supported this project, as well as our sponsors: Barona Resort & Casino, the La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club, Pete’s Place and Kyle Nyswonger. The hearts of our – seniors were filled with joy as they received our many items! Thank you to everyone who helped in this project for these special folks in our community.
