Helping hands in the community

Students under the age of 18 are eligible for free meal distributions while campuses remain closed because of the COVID-19 coronavirus. The San Diego County of Education has listed the following sites as distribution points until further notice.

CAJON VALLEY

SCHOOL DISTRICT

Cajon Valley Union School District is conducting drive-thru/walk-up distribution of daily meals, free to all children 18 years and younger. Children will need to be present to receive meals, and each child may take one meal bag (including one lunch and one breakfast for the following day). All food will be consumed off site. Meal distribution times for all locations listed below are weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meals will be passed out at:

• Anza Elementary – 1005 S Anza St, El Cajon

• Bostonia Language Academy – 1390 Broadway, El Cajon

• Cajon Valley Middle School – 550 E Park Ave, El Cajon

Free meals for students are available Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following GUHSD school sites. Meals will be passed out at:

• Santana High School – 9915 N. Magnolia, Santee

• El Cajon Valley High School – 1035 E. Madison Ave., El Cajon

• Steele Canyon High School – 12440 Campo Road, Spring Valley

• Grossmont High School – 1100 Murray Drive, El Cajon

• Mount Miguel High School – 8585 Blossom Lane, Spring Valley

Monte Vista High School – 3230 Sweetwater Springs Blvd., Spring Valley

Helix Charter High School – 7323 University Ave., La Mesa (begins March 30th/empieza el 30 de marzo)

Liberty Charter High School – 8425 Palm St., Lemon Grove

Literacy First Charter School – 799 E Washington Ave., El Cajon

LA MESA-SPRING

VALLEY SCHOOLS

Multi-meal packs with breakfast and lunch will be available on Mondays (with food for two days) and Wednesdays (with food for three days) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at:

• Bancroft Elementary School – 8805 Tyler St., Spring Valley

• La Mesa Arts Academy – 4200 Parks Ave., La Mesa

• Parkway Middle School – 9009 Park Plaza Drive, La Mesa

• Spring Valley Academy – 3900 Conrad Drive, Spring Valley

• STEAM Academy – 1001 Leland St., Spring Valley

LAKESIDE UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT

Drive-through meal service will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Lakeside Union School District Office, 12335 Woodside Ave., Lakeside. Meals for lunch and breakfast for the following morning can be picked up at these times.
