Brush Fire Burns Along State Route 76 in San Diego's North County

A brush fire is burning along State Route 76 near Pala according to Cal Fire officials.

The fire is producing a large amount of smoke but was last estimated to have scorched 10 acres and is 10 percent contained, according to Cal Fire at 2:26 p.m.

Winds are not a huge factor in firefighting efforts, Meteorologist Dagmar Midcap said. “You’re just seeing them in the breezy, single digits,” she added.

No structures were threatened, Cal Fire officials said.
