The FBI has confirmed an arrest in the case of the “Skinny Bandit” who struck three banks in six days.

The man, dubbed the Skinny Bandit because of his tall, lanky frame, used a demand note threatening to shoot the bank clerk and customers if the clerk did not comply, the agency said. No weapon was ever seen.

The robberies included a US Bank on Mira Mesa Boulevard, a Chase Bank on Main Street in Ramona, a Bank of America in the same shopping complex as the Chase Bank.

The robberies occurred on June 8, 12 and 14 respectively.

NBC 7 has learned the suspect, named Terry Lee Taylor, faces multiple charges in the bank robbery spree.

Taylor was indicted by a federal grand jury on bank robbery charges, the FBI confirmed.
