Crews were called to battle a brush fire on Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Tuesday morning.
The brush fire erupted sometime before 7:15 a.m. in the area north of Convoy Street. The brush fire was reported to be burning on the marine corps installation.
Newschopper 7 flew above a small patch of scorched land and some hot spots but it appeared flames had been tempered by about 8:15 a.m.
