The La Mesa Village Association is a group of business owners within the geographic area known as the La Mesa Village. These business owners have established an Association with the goal, intent, and purpose of developing business and a consumer relationship with the La Mesa community. It’s could be likened to the Chula Vista 3rd Avenue effort on a smaller scale. Their efforts should be applauded in a world where online retail chokes the life out of local businesses.
Here are some events offered by the Association
Boulevard Stroll
The La Mesa Businesses invite you to come rediscover the Boulevard first Wednesday of every month. The businesses will be open late and offering specials to those who stroll in. Live music, artists and a Kid’s Korner are some of the other highlights, as well as seasonal crafts for the kids. Fill out a passport with stamps from the businesses to enter to win monthly prizes.
Classic Car Show
The La Mesa Classic Car & Bike Show will feature pre-1974 cars, trucks, and vans as well as vintage motorcycles. The event will feature DJ’s located along La Mesa Boulevard providing live entertainment and an award giveaway each event honoring the night’s best cars and motorcycles. R
Holiday in the Village
The La Mesa Village Association’s new event, Holiday in the Village, follows a long history of Christmas in the Village events. As it is a new association sponsoring the event and the city is working to be more inclusive of all the holiday festivities at this time of year we have changed the name to reflect that.
