VP leaves El Cap for El Cajon Valley

Currently serving as vice principal at El Capitan High School in Lakeside, the Grossmont Union High School District Governing Board approved the appointment of Rob Sterling as the next principal of El Cajon Valley High School on June 14. Stirling is replacing ECV’s current principal Nick Williams who accepted a principal position in the Ramona School District where his family attends, and the community where they live.

Sterling comes to ECV with an impressive professional skill set he developed over the course of 11 years as a teacher and administrator. El Capitan Principal Scott Goergens said Sterling is a highly collaborative and accomplished administrator in a press release.

Stirling will begin his new position effective July 1.
