A car crashed into a power pole Saturday afternoon knocking out power to nearly 700 customers in Escondido.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. at the 3000 block of Felicita Road, near Felicita County Park.
The crash knocked down the power pole, leaving power lines down on the road.
The power outage affected the communities of South Escondido, West Bernardo, Del Dios and Lake Hodges.
Power was estimated to be restored at 7 p.m.
