A man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a bicyclist outside a Carlsbad elementary school Monday.
The car was traveling southbound on College Avenue when it crashed into the girl, whose age was not specified but was described as a juvenile, near Calavera Hills Elementary School at about 11 a.m., the Carlsbad Police Department (CPD) said.
Carlsbad police believe the man may have suffered some sort of medical condition, causing him to lose control and slam into the bicyclist.
Both the driver and the girl were transported to area hospitals. Their condition was not known.
CPD said CPR was administered to at least one person.
No other information was available.
