The California Department of Transportation has declared a 9.3-acre parcel in Spring Valley as surplus and plans to sell that property at auction. The County of San Diego’s Department of Parks and Recreation is considering that land for a possible park, and the San Diego County Board of Supervisors gave its support to the possibility of the county purchasing that property.
