A dozen people were injured in a multiple-car crash in San Pasqual Valley near San Diego Zoo Safari Park, San Diego police said.
The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of San Pasqual Road and San Pasqual Valley Road (state Route 78), police said.
There were 12 victims and some were being transported to area hospitals, San Diego Fire-Rescue spokesman Jose Ysea said.
All injuries were considered minor, San Diego police Sgt. Michael Tansey said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
