1 Dead After Fire Erupts on 50th Floor of Trump Tower: FDNY

A man died after a fire erupted in an apartment at Trump Tower in Midtown on Saturday evening, according to a senior law enforcement official. The FDNY said four firefighters suffered burns and other non-life-threatening injuries in addition to the man, an occupant of the apartment who had been in critical condition following the blaze.  Canada Mourns: 15 Die When Truck, Hockey Team Bus Collide Firefighters responded to an automatic alarm after the fire broke out in a large apartment on the 50th floor of the tower, FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro said at a press conference. A barage of fire trucks could be seen surrounding the Fifth Avenue building shortly after the blaze started around 5:30 p.m. Videos on social media show thick, black smoke and flames rising from the building as people watch below.
